WHAT TO EXPECT

Seasons

Main Season:
Our schedule runs with the school year. That means classes are from mid-August through the end of May, with a recital the first weekend in June. Registration for the Main Season opens April 1st for current students and April 15th for the general public. Main-season classes are in high demand! We recommend securing your spot very early.

Summer Season:
We have a shorter summer session from June through the first half of August. We run classes, intensives, and camps in the summer.
Registration for the Summer Season opens on May 1st for current and new students.

Spring Mini-session:
These classes are a good “taster” for new students, or students in town seasonally. Classes run from February to April. These classes will not participate in the recital.
Registration for the Spring Mini-Session opens December 1st for everyone.

We release our schedules EARLY because classes FILL QUICKLY! Make sure to register as soon as possible to guarantee a spot.

Classes

Group Classes:
Class size ranges from 5-18 students. Classes for younger students with high enrollment will have an instructor and an assistant. Classes with fewer than 7 students may require special pricing.

Group classes are 55 minutes in length. Younger students will split the hour between a few different styles of dance, older students will spend the full hour focusing on one style.

Private Lessons:
Private lessons are scheduled 1-on-1 with an instructor, based on their availability. Lessons can be scheduled for
30, 45, or 60 minutes.

We do not recommend starting private lessons until at least age 5.

Students do not have a required uniform that they need to purchase.

Dance/athletic clothing of any color/design is acceptable!
Leotards, tights, and leggings are all great choices.

Students will need the appropriate shoes for each dance style they are learning, but they are not required by the first day of class.

Hair must be neat and pulled back.

Students taking Ballet are required to wear a leotard/tights and have their hair in a bun. Skirts are acceptable but not required.
-
Trials and new students should come dressed in clothes they can move comfortably in with their hair tied securely and neatly back. If they do not already own dance shoes, socks or bare feet is fine.

You can purchase shoes and our recommended dancewear in our online shop

Tuition & Pricing

Class tuition is calculated by how many hours per week each individual student is in class.

The more classes a student takes per week the better the hourly rate! Improved hourly rates apply up until a student dances 9 hours per week.

Tuition is charged on the 1st of each month. There is a 5% discount on tuition for students who opt to pay in full.

Recital & Performance Opportunities

Students over the age of 3 enrolled at ADMT are invited to participate in our Recital the first weekend in June! Students are not required to perform, but the majority choose to (and have a great time!)

Students MUST be enrolled by mid-December to be able to participate in the Recital. Classes for our MAIN SEASON began August 21st, 2023, and run through the end of May, finishing off with our June 1st, 2024 recital. It’s recommended that students begin as close to the start of the MAIN SEASON as possible.

We offer Summer classes and camps, which do not have an end-of-the-term show. Parents are invited into the classroom at the end of the term to observe what the students have learned.

Dance Competitions:
More serious students ages 7+ are invited to audition for Dance Company. Students in Company pieces will travel locally to compete 2-3 times per year. Auditions are held every Spring/Summer. Students participating in Company will have required technique classes and rehearsals to attend. Excellent attendance is required.
