Shashanna Orellano, MM, MT-BC, grew up in the Seattle area. She began studying violin at the age of 8 and has a Bachelors degree in Violin Performance from Western Washington University. Shashanna began studying guitar in 2005 and sang in high school and college. She moved to Florida in 2005 to pursue an equivalent undergraduate and Masters of Music in Music Therapy at Florida State University where she graduated in 2009. Shashanna worked as a music therapist at Hospice of Palm Beach County for 5 years where she won a “Whatever It Takes” award and was featured in the Palm Beach Post. She now continues her music therapy at our local VA hospital.
